End of Season

Dragged the boat into storage today from the Lakewood Ramp. The lift is pretty much unusable now, but making it to the first week of October isn’t bad (for our cove) considering the lack of rain and the long draws they’ve been pulling every day, almost all day. However, the lake level and water temp are still plenty nice (barely chilly in the clouds) for watersports, and all of the ramps remain open. Had a flat lake to ourselves today so it’s still definitely worth it on sunny, warm days like we’ve been having. Sad to see the summer go but at least there are offseason dock & boat projects to look forward to. I’ll also be catching up on some of the stale stuff on this blog and adding email requests like maps, campground details, etc.–boating before blogging in the summertime! :) Took a shot of wild Turkey on the lake a few weeks ago…
