My dock floats again

Biggest bump of the year thanks to Ida. My dock was high & dry until at least 2010 or so I thought; now the plank is swamped and I’m pushing out again. Dry Branch ramp also remains open.

Dry Branch ramp closed

Drove by there yesterday and the gates were all locked up.

Fay remnants bring almost 3 inches of rain to the lake

We missed more of a direct hit it seems because of a sub-tropical high that kept Fay to our south. However, she bounced back this way with the jet stream and brought 2.92 inches of rain (according to my weather station it was .75 in on Monday/2.17 inches on Tuesday), some lingering showers, and a funnel for some potential near-term Gulf moisture.

Looks like the lake has bounced back a foot or so so far:

Here’s a shot of the Toccoa River upstream from the lake/dam. By the looks of that, we should get another good upwards bounce:

Thanks Fay, your leftovers hit the spot! Gustav? Hanna?
